TS4- Drifter Challenge 002.2: Lovestruck

House 002 Chapter 2

Mindy had quite a bit of money saved up but before she started building her house she really wanted to find a companion.  Despite being a loner by nature, she found doing nothing but gathering and gardening all day very lonely.  So she threw a dance party at the ruins and invited the few people she knew.  Luckily others showed up.

The elderly bartender seemed friendly enough.

She finally met one of her Daddy Brock’s friend Vihisha’s triplets Casey.

She saw her dad’s sneaking out of a bush nearby and shook her head.  Just like old times.

She had a good time and no longer felt lonely but as to finding a companion, there was nobody here she was interested in.  She decided to leave and go home to her empty lot to eat.

The next day, after her gathering and gardening was completed she decided that the dance party was a success and that she should do it again.  This time, she held it at the bluffs.  Here she met another of the Williams triplets Jaden.

Yet another elderly bartender.  Mindy’s heart sank.  Would she never meet someone?

A/N: After this party I deleted a good portion of the elders in manage worlds.  Almost the entire town is elders and it was driving me nuts!

She noticed the DJ had an odd bug-like helmet on, hiding his face.

Taking a deep breath for courage, she introduced herself and then asked him what he looked like under that mask.

He had nice eyes but the rest of him was hidden behind all of that hair!  She decided to wait and see before pursuing him further.

Someone was at it in the bush again and creeper Tiara stood watching.  Poor Tiara had never married or had children.  Perhaps the town was xenophobic?

No surprise who it was in the bush.  These two were at it like rabbits all the time.

Mindy shyly chats with some of her new friends but her mind is back with the man at the DJ booth.

Finally, she gives in to her urge and dances as close to the booth as possible so he’ll notice her.

The next morning, after her chores are done, she sends a happy text to the DJ Andrew.  He responds with an invite to the Von Haunt Estate.  She’s glad she put off building her house so she has enough money saved up for the trip to Windenburg.

She figures the best thing to do is to get to know him better.  He’s ambitious, which may not be the best trait since he doesn’t have a job.  He’s a snob, so she thinks he might not be so happy living on her grassy lot.  But he’s neat and she thinks that might be a good trait for a companion.  She likes things tidy after living so long with her slob father Emerson.  All-in-all, considering her other non-prospects and his kind eyes she decides to go for it.

She shows him pictures on her phone of her family and her little grassy lot to gauge his reaction.  He seems enthusiastic.

Feeling confident that she’s made the right choice she tries a bold pick-up line and feels she has him wrapped around her little finger already.

She flirts a bit more and then decides to just go ahead and kiss him.  He seemed more than a little surprised over how quickly she was moving.

A/N: At this point, the first time, Andrew left because the timer ran out on the outting and she went home.  She invited him the next day to her lot and they woohoo’d.  Just as I was about to take a screenshot, my electric flickered off and I lost all the progress.  I started back the day before they went to Von Haunt.  So, I did everything exactly the same but instead of a text I just had him travel with her there.

After touring the building together for a bit Mindy was a bit over-excited about this new relationship with Andrew. She remembered that her dad’s had gotten married here and in a love-struck move she proposed to him!  He kindly turned her down and told her it was too soon.  He left and she went home as well, feeling extremely embarrassed.

After all her chores were done she had gotten over the embarrassment and decided that Andrew just needed a little more convincing.  She invited him to her lot and lured him into her little tent for some fun.  It worked for her dad’s well enough, hopefully, it would work for him.

Feeling confident once again, she invited him to stay the night and they cloudgazed until the sky darkened into stars.

He seemed more than surprised when she asked him yet-again to marry her.  But, this time, he agreed!

She felt it would be silly to go all the way back to Windenburg late at night just to say marriage vows, so she suggested they elope then and there and once again he agreed.

Her lonely days of doing nothing but gathering and gardening were over.  She finally had the companion she had been searching for.
