Jaci’s birthday at Bear Grills was such a hit that Tess decides to take the family to another restaurant that just opened called Cirque Du Clown Diner for Lina’s birthday. Kids love clowns right?
The hostess, while cheerfully dressed wasn’t very friendly.
Tess was happy to see a table for eight there. The group wouldn’t have to split up. She had invited her brother Van, her friend Lex and his two boys Zachary and Talon to join them.
It appears that Lina has a fear of clowns in addition to bears.
Tess orders for the table while Lina recovers and Jaci colors on a placemat.
After ordering their food most of the group left the table and roamed the restaurant checking everything out. Van was the first to discover the candy bowls.
Noah got a laugh out of this pregnant woman’s reaction to the hand popping out of the bowl.
Lina had to try it as well and got quite the fright… luckily she didn’t pass out.
The food arrived and everyone gathered back at the table to eat.
Oh my, does Jaci have a fear of clowns as well? This may have been a bad choice of restaurant.
Tess orders a cake delivered to the table and Lina ages to teen. Her aspiration is freelance botanist and her new trait is hot-headed. I thought gardening would be kinda boring so I chose Jaci as the heir.
While they’re there Talon aged up to teen as well. His looks weren’t very exciting so I think I’ll have Jaci go for his brother Zachary instead.
Here’s an up-close of Lina. I liked her look so I didn’t bother changing it.
She doesn’t have school the next day so she hangs out with grandpa Noah.
I placed the motion gaming rig again but didn’t have a room I could lock the doors on this time so it seems like everyone but the teens hog it. I may have to stick it in a bathroom or something.
The Cirque Du Clown Diner was built by the talented drutrubuilder. When looking for a fun restaurant for this chapter I thought I’d go with another builder I was familiar with. Surprisingly, when I looked I wasn’t following them! Luckily they have a catchy name and I was able to find their builds and even more lucky they did have a fun restaurant build! Yay!
The sad clowns were funny to watch. I had expected them to make everyone sad but they didn’t. The candy bowl, while distracting them from their tables, was a fun addition to the restaurant. The decor was really cool and I hope to take them there again so I can get some shots of the rest of the place.
The birthday dinner was after school and work… except for Blake who had to work so he couldn’t come. I really had no choice but to take them out to eat in the miserable state they were in. If I waited, then she would have aged up automatically. I lost track of the number of times the girls passed out. I just kept having to bring my score spreadsheet up and subtract another 5 points. I must have lost 25! *sigh* All for a fun post.
This dinner was an experiment in two things… having a party of 8 and having sims that aren’t in my household join the party. Both were a success and my faith in dining out is restored. My failure at doing the same in my legacy really lowered my opinion of the gamepack so I’m glad it worked out so well.
