House 002 Chapter 6
The family visits Granite Falls again so that Mindy can work on her aspiration some more.
Unfortunately, when I started up the game it was 7am and all her needs were terrible. I have no idea what I was doing when I played last but it really messed things up starting off this time. So I waited until she was about to pass out and got her a moodlet solver potion.
This dragon dragonfly is my favorite insect. It’s too cool.
After collecting a bunch of plants and insects she makes her way through the brambles to, hopefully, meet the hermit.
It seems the hermit is not home. Mindy waits and waits and nobody shows up.
A/N: This turned out to be a whole insane ordeal. I could only find a couple posts on the forums from people who didn’t have the hermit show up. I took them home and brought them back, I took out all my mods, I tried other saves and the hermit was there in those saves. One person in the forums out of desperation ended up saving their household to their library and started a new game and it worked for them…
*sigh* Okay, the problem with having to start a new save is I had soooo many plants and insects in her inventory already that I didn’t want to lose! So, believe it or not, I dragged them all onto the lawn from her inventory before I saved the house to my library. You can’t really tell from the screenshot but almost the entire lawn is covered in plants. I saved the family, her brother, his wife and Casey and Jaden’s kids. I got the blank world that was made for this challenge, placed the 001 house, this house, all of the sims and fixed their relationships, deleted all the other sims and deleted all but the 3 allowed Windenburg lots. This took me hours guys.
Mindy returns from her crazy trip around the world and back to find the hermit waiting for her, this time when she enters through the brambles. They become friends and everyone’s happy.
Mindy makes use of her new friend’s oven to bake a cake for her son’s birthday since they will still be camping when it’s time for him to age up.
After exiting the hermit’s lair Mindy finds her family and enjoys some quality time with them.
She takes advantage of the night hours to catch the night-time insects.
Then, when she’s found all of the insects and plants around the camp she makes herbal remedies.
In the morning, Wade encounters a bear. He’s not afraid, it’s a friendly bear.
While Mindy collects yet more plants and insects the family roams the campground.
Finally, it’s time for Wade to blow out his candles!
He got the Angling Ace aspiration and the genius trait. He’ll be doing a lot of fishing in house 003 and focused helps with fishing and gardening skill.
The family tucks in for their last night of vacation before they go back to the real world.
Not really much to note other than what I did already earlier in the post. This chapter is obviously much shorter than my usual Drifter chapters… despite this, I spent almost an entire day on it because of the missing hermit. I really can’t understand what happened. I did, shortly after starting house 002, delete quite a bit of elder townies but from what I’ve read if I did somehow delete the hermit or if the hermit dies or rejoins society the game should have respawned one. It wasn’t a mod. I really don’t know.
Mindy is on the last stage of her aspiration. All she needs now is 4 more levels of herbalism skill and to sleep in a tent for 4 more nights. I didn’t do anything to try to make money or build on the house so none of that has changed since the last chapter.
